A double process technique to create a natural, golden blonde. Step one is the lightening process creating brightness and soft undertones. Step two deposits beautiful hues of golden overtones throughout the ends.
Model's hair was virgin with an existing level of 7N.

Dimension and Lightening:
1. Create a 4-part section from the center of the forehead to the nape and from right ear to left ear.
2. Starting at the nape, take 1/8" slices. Brighten and lighten the hair by applying formula #1. Apply evenly from scalp to ends including all the hair.
3. Place a foil directly on top. Soften and lighten the next section with formula #2 from scalp to ends.
4. Repeat the compact foiling technique throughout the hair, while beginning to rotate formula #3 (decolorizer) with formulas #1 and #2. Alternate the formulas based on where you want to add brightness, softness and lightness. (fig. 1)
5. Process 30 minutes.
6. Shampoo and condition with Definition Color & Highlights shampoo and conditioner. Thoroughly towel dry.
Naturalizing:
1. Resection head into 4 parts and apply toner #1 to the base (retouch area) approximately 2" up the hair shaft. Staggering the distance you apply toner up the shaft will result in a new and believable tone at the scalp. (fig. 2)
2. Apply toner #2 (golden blonde) throughout the remaining mid-shaft and ends. This will create natural diffusion with the retouch area.
3. Process 30 minutes.
4. Shampoo and condition with Definition Color & Highlights shampoo and conditioner.

2. Comb hair straight down to determine length and trim ends all the way around the perimeter.
3. Using notching scissors, create texture in the ends. Hold out vertical sections and notch into the last 2"-3" of the ends to remove exterior weight. (fig. 3)
4. Finally take large crown sections at a 90° angle, using notching scissors on the ends to remove interior weight. (fig. 4)
STYLE
1. Apply a combination of Trendline Volume Mousse for hold, and Trendline Straightener for added structure control. Length , thickness and texture of hair will determine the amount used.
2. Begin to blow-dry with a flat paddle brush. Lift the hair slightly at the base creating soft direction. Pull the paddle brush down at zero elevation to dry the ends straight.
3. Once thoroughly dry, spray a fine mist of Trendline Finish Spray aerosol and flat iron the mid-shaft and ends.
